They are the small saviours of our sanity which not only provide us with a piece of joy along the way, but give us the boost we need to get through the lunacy that lockdown holds. Espresso Library’s second location opened in December on St Andrew’s Street, serving speciality coffee, light bites and delicate macarons. EL2 is as delicious as it is instagrammable, and is testament the continued success of this independent business despite the challenges of lockdown.

Amongst many mouth-watering options from Fitzbillies, their ‘world famous’ Chelsea buns are not one to miss. Along with a hot takeaway coffee, this coffee stop doesn’t get more quintessentially Cambridge. You can find them on Bridge St and Trumpington St.
