The Best Takeaway Coffee in Cambridge
The one (and almost only) good thing about our daily lockdown walks has been supporting indie Cambridge gems on route. They are the small saviours of our sanity which not only provide us with a piece of joy along the way, but give us the boost we need to get through the lunacy that lockdown holds. Here are our top 5 Cambridge takeaway coffee stops…
Espresso Library’s second location opened in December on St Andrew’s Street, serving speciality coffee, light bites and delicate macarons. EL2 is as delicious as it is instagrammable, and is testament the continued success of this independent business despite the challenges of lockdown.
2. Bould Brothers
This Vogue-featured brother duo mean business. Their ethos, ‘speciality coffee is for everybody’ rings true, with queues down the street at their city-centre branch. Both Round Church St and Regent St locations are serving takeaway coffee, and a few extra treats too, 7 days a week.
3. Fitzbillies
Amongst many mouth-watering options from Fitzbillies, their ‘world famous’ Chelsea buns are not one to miss. Along with a hot takeaway coffee, this coffee stop doesn’t get more quintessentially Cambridge. You can find them on Bridge St and Trumpington St.
4. Stir Cambridge
Stir is the heart and social hub of the CB4 community. Serving Butterworth & Son coffee along with a selection of freshly baked pastries, cakes and breads made by the talented bakers in their onsite bakery.
5. Hot Numbers Coffee
Hot Numbers lead the way in Cambridge when it comes to consistency, slick branding, and quality driven independent pours. They also serve takeaway breakfast and brunch if you need a little something to fuel your chilly springtime wanderings.
